A Unique Collection of Arts of the East

Over the years, the Chinese have succeeded in developing a collection of diverse works of art. The first works of art from the region made use of rocks and stones as a means of expression. Was the time when the Chinese had not yet learned to work metal. China, the country was ruled by various dynasties all the time. The T’ang dynasty, the Qin Dynasty, Han Dynasty and Zhou Dynasty all made their own contribution to the ancient Chinese art. Three major religions have had a profound influence on Chinese art through the course of history. Confucianism was the first religion to inspire the ancient Chinese art. The Chinese have also been known to possess a deep love of nature and therefore, we find that nature has been a great source of inspiration for artists in the country since the beginning of Chinese civilization. Chinese artists are particularly fond of painting landscapes. Flowers were another major theme of nature and the Chinese artists were also pleased to birds as the theme for their artistic work.

The collection of ancient Chinese art has a variety of different art forms. Some of them were already common in other countries when there are a number of art forms that the Chinese are credited to development. Painting, calligraphy, sculpture, ceramics, folk art of paper cutting and metal arts are among the various art forms that have been practiced in China.
