Latin and Ballroom Dancing Basics
If you want to improve your ballet you have to experience as many other dance forms, as you can fit in Now I’m going to touch briefly on ballroom and latin dances. These two dances are a lot of fun, and you’re never old to learn, and enjoy it. Ballroom dancing is divided in Fox Trot, Waltz, Quickstep, Waltz in Vienna, and the ever-popular tango. Dance is usually slower, with the exception of QuickStep and waltzes of Vienna. In the ballroom is always one step ahead in the heel, keeping your knees slightly relaxed, and it travels well at all times. Latin-American dances such as Swing includes, Rumba, Samba and Mambo. There are also many other variations of these dances such as West Coast Swing, Salsa, Dirty Dancing, Rock N Roll, and many others. Latin dances usually faster, except for the rumba. There are a lot of hip action and Latin dances, the dancer ever steps in the heel.
Latin dances are easier to master than ballroom dancing, because you do not dance so closely with your partner. If you opt for the social dance lessons, usually learn a mixture of all previous dances. If you thought pointe shoes were killed, try to dance in high heels for a day.
